The blog “You Know I Gots Soul” has a really interesting post today entitled “How We Lost A Whole Generation Of Young Male R&B Stars From The 2000’s”. It offers up some interesting details on how many popular R&B artists over the last 15 years have had trouble moving their initial success into long-term success in music. It cites examples such as Baltimore’s own Mario, Omarion, Lloyd, and Bobby Valentino as artists whose focus on massive single hits left them without the cohesive musical catalog to build fan bases who would be supportive over the long haul. I highly recommend you checking it out.
