One thing that has always been very cool about Baltimore is the large number of outdoor festivals and concerts it has during the summer in addition to the number of indoor events tripling as the temperature rises. We couldn’t bring ourselves to pick just one this weekend, so why should you?
First…check out Baltimore Indiefest tonight at 8 x 10 on Cross Street. Eze Jackson, Kissi B, Wendel Patrick and Greenspan will be the featured performers. Tickets are $14 and you can go to www.baltimoreindiefest.com to get advance tix.
If you’re going to be closer to DC tonight, consider an evening of international hip hop at “Internationally Known: LIVE Global HipHop Showcase”. The fun takes place at Tropicallia, located at 2001 14th St. NW in Washington DC. This collection of artists have roots deeply connected to the Motherland, and bring that energy and spirit to their performances. Click the flyer to get details on the event.
If you’re looking for good food this weekend consider “A Taste of Three Cities”. Food trucks from Philly, b-more and DC will meet at M and T Bank stadium offering their tasty ware and battling it out to see whose food is best! Get details at www.tasteofthreecities.com or at www.thegatheringbaltimore.com/taste-of-three-cities.html— there will be live music from popular area bands like Greasy Hands and Bosley in addition to the great eats! Gypsy Queen won the food truck battle last year — will they take the “Best Food Truck” title again? Be there to find out!
See you out and about!
