“THE VOICE” COMES TO D.C. — AUDITIONS IN JUNE

Looking to make it to the big time as a vocal talent? This may be your chance!  NBC’s vocal competition show The Voice, hosted by Carson Daly,will be having open auditions for contestants to participate in the upcoming seventh season of the show. The auditions will take place at The Washington Convention Center, located at 801 Mt. Vernon Place, NW on Saturday June 7th and Sunday, June 8th. If you can’t make the live auditions, you can also send a video of your audition by going to www.nbcthevoice.com.

Before you run off to audition, there are a few hoops to jump through of course. Whether you audition live or via video, you must create an account on the website for The Voice first. Go to www.nbcthevoice.com/artist-account to register and get the ball rolling. This allows you to select your audition city.

A week before the auditions you will get an Audition Pass that you must bring with you. You also need to make sure you have the following:

  • You must be a U.S. Citizen
  • You must be at least 15 years of age, and a photo ID is required
  • If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must be with you
  • You must sing two acapella songs
